As many posts will be in the future will be, today was a “First”.
Along with Auntie Phu Xuan and Uncle Aaron, we took Half Calf on his first hike. Well, he didn’t “hike”, he just rode along so it was more a test for us to see how he would respond to being out so long and how we would deal with things like feeding and cold and such when not in a controlled environment. We picked Rabbit Lake, which is about 9 miles of a minimal incline hike out a valley to an alpine lake and back. We also were giving a trial run to our new Ergo carrier. We are happy to report that all went just fine. Half Calf slept almost the entire time; apparently the carrier is super comfortable for him. The weather was overcast but no rain. The temperature was warm enough for hiking most of the time though cool around the lake itself. No, we did not see any rabbits.
Love it! We had Sarah Rose tent camping at 3 weeks.
Nice pictures of everyone! 😊
